This paper is a first biographical sketch of Luís Augusto Parada e Silva Leitão (1811-1858). Lithographer, illustrator, engineer and teacher of Drawing, he lived both in Lisbon, in Coimbra and in Porto, being an interesting example of mobility and capacity of combining artistic and technical skills.
