Peer Review Process

The Editorial Board may reject an article without evaluating if it does not adhere rigorously to the guidelines, both formal and content, or if its contents do not fall within the scope of the journal. After this preliminary analysis all articles will be submitted for review.

Directors and Editors should ensure that all proposals are reviewed by qualified and independent reviewers, while preserving their anonymity throughout the submission and review processes.

Two different reviewers will review each text (double blind peer review), both with a different academic and/or professional affiliation from the author, in order to ensure an independent evaluation, appealing to a third party if necessary. The evaluation will be provided in a proper form and communicated to the author, who should, if necessary, make the necessary corrections.

Directors and Editors should also develop and maintain a database of appropriate external reviewers and keep it updated based on their performance. They should ensure that the reviewer database reflects the journal profile and, where necessary, add new members.

Reviewers should be objective in their evaluations and renounce the task if there is a conflict of interest between them and the authors or their research or funding bodies, as well as if they share their academic and/or professional affiliation with the authors.

Authors will be notified on the acceptance or definitive rejection of the article.

The Directors and Editors, attending the reviewers' reports, will be in charge of making the decision on whether to reject or accept each article.
